Adam Joseph Gaudreau dead after Laytonsville, Md. crash

DAMASCUS, Md. (WUSA9) -- A man is dead after a serious crash in the Laytonsville area Wednesday morning.

Adam Joseph Gaudreau, 48, has been identified as the victim.

Montgomery County Fire and Rescue officials were on the scene of a serious crash that left the victim man trapped on Wednesday morning.

It happened at approximately 8:31 a.m. when a car went off the roadway in the area of Laytonsville Road near Hawkins Creamery Road, officials said.

The car hit a tree and rolled over before coming to rest alongside a fence. The victim was trapped when rescue arrived, officials said.

It took rescue crews 20 to 25 minutes to free the man, who was flown to a local trauma center where he succumbed to his injuries, officials said.
