VIENNA, Va. (WUSA9) -- Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project representatives say The Vienna, Dunn Loring, West Falls Church and East Falls Church Metrorail stations on the Orange Line will be closed from 10 p.m. Friday night to closing Sunday night. Crews will be testing the signal system testing and doing track maintenance before the opening of the Silver Line.
Representatives say free shuttle buses will be available between Vienna and Ballston. Express buses will also operate between these two stations. Officials say that riders should add at least 25 minutes to their travel time.
In addition, local buses will run between Vienna and Ballston, and make intermediary stops at Dunn Loring, West Falls Church and East Falls Church. Riders should allow 15 minutes of travel time for each station stop, say representatives. "For example, a rider traveling West Falls Church and Ballston should allow 30 minutes of travel time because the bus makes two stops," said representatives in a press release on Wednesday.
