BOWIE, Md. (WUSA9) -- Maryland State Police say that at approximately 9:40 a.m., a small single-engine plane crashed into a corn field next to Freeway Airport in Bowie, Maryland.
Prince George's County Fire spokesperson says the plane was carrying four occupants but that everybody was out of the plane and only had minor injuries.
Police say the plane had flipped end over end and that there was a small fuel leak that was being cleaned out.
Police say the cause of the accident is still under investigation.
