Police: robber made move after register opened

WOODBRIDGE, Va. (WUSA9) -- Prince William County Police say a robber waited until a cashier went to ring up his purchase before making his home.

According to police, employee said a man entered the 7-Eleven at 12820 Cloverdale Road in Woodbridge at 1:05 p.m. on Thursday. He then went to the counter to make a purchase, but when the  employee opened the register, he reached over the counter, and grabbed the cash drawer, say police.

The man then fled, and police were unable to find him.

The robber is described as a Black male, between 18 & 22 years of age, 5'11", 160 pounds with a thin build, black hair, and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, black jeans, and white shoes, say police.
