UPPER MARLBORO, Md. (WUSA9) -- A man who went to a courthouse to meet with his probation officer brought a loaded handgun with him, say authorities, and was taken into custody.
According to Prince George's County Sheriff's Office authorities, Troy-Jonathan Kent's tote bag was going through x-ray machines at the Upper Marlboro courthouse entrance Thursday when a security officer saw a weapon in it.
Deputies responded to the area and found that it was a fully loaded Armi Fratelli Tanfoglio 9mm, according to authorities. Kent was taken into custody, say authorities, and taken to the Prince George's County Department of Corrections.
Kent is now charged with possession of a concealed dangerous weapon.
He is being held on a $100,000 bond.
