(WUSA9) -- Washington Animal Rescue League has a new pet of the week. Meet Carpenter, a three-year-old Manchester Terrier!
WARL says Manchesters are an extremely old breed, originally from England where they were bred to hunt small animals. While hunting is not on Carpenter's agenda, he is a devoted, very smart and active dog- all true to his breed standard - and he's eager to meet his new "people."
While he can't wait to find his new home, Carpenter also likes his own space at meal time and would probably do best in a home with no young children, says WARL.
With a beautiful, smooth, black and tan coat and a curious nature, Carpenter will be a hit with his new, forever family. His medium to small stature makes him perfect for any home, including small apartments and condos.
Stop by the Washington Animal Rescue League to meet Carpenter, this week's Pet of the Week!
