WASHINGTON (WUSA9/AP) -- A ceiling collapse in DC has left at least seven people injured, police said.
All are in stable condition. This incident occurred on the 200 block of I Street S.E. at approximately 9:00 p.m., police said.
Fire department Capt. Louis Carter says a combination of the construction and the vibrations from the music show may have caused the dust, debris and foam insulation to come down on the audience.
The band Black Alley was playing at the time during the event, titled "Go-Go Swing: Washington, D.C.'s Unstoppable Beat." The D.C. Commission on the Arts and Humanities was holding the kickoff for the two-month exhibition on Friday night.
