SPRINGFIELD, Va. (WUSA9) -- Fairfax County Health Department officials say they will hold a tuberculosis screening and testing clinic at Robert E. Lee High School in Springfield at 8 a.m. on Saturday.
You may remember that the department recommended all students who attended Robert E. Lee High School during the 2012-2013 school year as well as faculty and support staff to get screened and tested for tuberculosis after three people at the school were diagnosed with active TB in June.
The department also reported that 20 other individuals met "exposure criteria", which meant they spent a significant amount of time at the school in spots where the transmission of TB may have taken place.
Officials says they sent 1,900 letters on July 19 to let the Robert E. Lee High School community know of the expanded testing.
Health officials say there is no new information to report on active cases.
