BALTIMORE, Md. (WUSA) -- A train derailment that happened over the weekend will likely affect thousands of MARC train commuters who travel on the Camden line Monday morning.
A CSX freight train derailed around 10:00 a.m. Sunday just south of the Camden Street Station, blocking all tracks. According to the Maryland Transit Administration, there will be a track available this morning on the Camden Line past the site of the derailment. The MTA will operate the full schedule on the Camden Line, with 15-30 minute delays.
MTA officials say customers looking to avoid these delays can also use their Camden Line tickets on the Penn Line.
All Brunswick Line trains will also operate a full schedule, with no delays expected at this time. The Penn Line is not affected by the derailment.
