WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- A splash of green paint was discovered at the Lincoln Memorial shortly after 1:00 Friday morning.
Nancy Kupper of the National Parks Service says about 2000 acts of vandalism have occurred per year over the last five years. Some of the problems include tagging on boulders, damage to hundred-year-old cacti (Saguaro National Park, Tucson) and damage to cannons on civil war battlefields.
