BROOKLYN PARK, Md. (WUSA9) -- On Saturday, officers from Northern District responded to the report of a robbery of a citizen that took place earlier in Brooklyn Park. Baltimore Washington Medical Center in Glen Burnie contacted police after bringing in the victim.
Officers consulted with the 28-year-old male victim upon arrival. The victim indicated that he was approached by two unknown male suspects while in the 4000 block of Ritchie Highway in Brooklyn Park.
One suspect asked the victim for money, but the victim refused, says police. During that time, one suspect punched him in the face while the second suspect took out a knife and cut him in the face. After the attack, the suspects robbed him of an undisclosed amount of money and fled towards Baltimore City. The victim was treated for his injuries at Baltimore Washington Medical Center. The investigation is still pending at this time.
The victim described the first suspect as being a black male in his late teens, approximately 5'10'', wearing blue pants, a short sleeve black t-shirt, and a blue ball cap.
The second suspect was described as a black male in his late teens, approximately 5'11'' with facial hair along his jaw, wearing black jeans and a black long sleeve shirt.
