CHESAPEAKE BEACH, Md. (WUSA9) -- Nine people were injured after the deck of a house collapsed in Chesapeake Beach, officials said.
The incident occurred at a two-story single family home on the 3000 block of Cox Road when the deck located at the back of the house collapsed, causing injuries to nine people. Eight people were transported to the hospital. Two of them are children. The ages of the injured are unknown at this time, fire department officials said.
All have non-life threatening injuries and the cause of the collapse is still under investigation.
