POTOMAC, Md. (WUSA9/AP) - A 19-year-old man hasn't been seen since going swimming in the Potomac River near Great Falls.

Police have identified him as Ngoh Forochick, who studied at Prince George's County Community College, who inspired at one time, to become a law enforcement officer.

His mother is shocked by the incident.

The search for the teen resumed on Tuesday morning, a day after severe weather interrupted a search by Montgomery County, Fairfax County and National Park Service crews. Montgomery County fire department spokeswoman Beth Anne Nesselt says four swimmers went out, but only three managed to return.

She says the teen went missing Monday afternoon near Purple Horse Beach, where the Billy Goat Trail crosses Bear Island. She says going in the water prohibited in that area because of strong currents.
