WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- Police in the District are searching for answers and suspects after a violent few hours. Just after 9:00 Wednesday night, a person was stabbed to death in Southeast. Then, just before 11:00, multiple people were shot in Northeast.
There was also a deadly shooting in Northeast in the 200 block of 62nd Street. A man was killed in that shooting. Police have identified him as 42-year-old Dawon Markham of Mitchellville, Md.
Ernest Hart, 17-years-old of Southeast was stabbed to death in the 4600 block of Hillside Road, off Benning Road in Southeast. That happened around 9:00 p.m.
Two hours later, three people were shot in Northeast in the 1200 block of 42nd Street. Neighbors tell WUSA 9 the victims were attending a graduation party. Police tell us the victims, two men and one woman, are expected to recover from their gunshot wounds. They are recovering at a hospital.
Police are looking for a black Acura they say was spotted speeding from that area. Anyone who has information in regards to that black Acura in Northeast Washington is are encouraged to call police.
The police department offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons wanted for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
