WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- Protests in Washington, D.C. aren't new but this one shut down traffic during the height of the Tuesday morning commute.
Some government workers want better wages. They marched out onto Pennsylvania Avenue shutting down the intersection of busy 14th Street. There were DC and Homeland Security police officers at every corner.
Men and women who work at the food court inside the Ronald Reagan Building staged a rally just outside their workplace to shed light on the conditions inside. They made their case in English and in Spanish.
