MILLERSVILLE, Md. (WUSA9) -- Police responded to a bomb threat at Old Mill High School earlier this morning.
School officials received information that a student had posted threats that he was planning to plant bombs in an area in the school complex on social media. Old Mill School Complex is located in the 600 block of Patriot Lane in Millersville, Maryland. When The suspect online posts also included a report of him targeting a "Relay for Life" cancer walk event scheduled to take place on the evening of May 17, at the school, officials said.
The school was scanned for bombs and nothing was found. The suspect was found inside his home and there was no evidence of any bomb making material. He has been charged with Disturb School Operations, Threat to Detonate a Destructive Device and False Statement in Reference to a Destructive Device, officials say.
