OCEAN CITY, Md. (WUSA9) -- A female suspect has been charged in connection with stabbing a victim in Ocean City, Md., police said.
The incident occurred on Thursday at approximately 3:50 a.m., at 508 Robin Drive, when Ocean City Police responded to a report of a stabbing. The victim had suffered injuries to her neck and shoulders, police said.
The suspect, Sharon Lee Ward, 47, of Ocean City, stabbed the victim multiple times on the neck with a kitchen knife after an argument. The victim called the police after being able to flee, police said.
The investigation revealed that the victim and the suspect were living together and a Maryland Court Final Domestic Protective Order prohibited Ward from having any contact with the victim.
Ward has been charged with 1st degree assault, 2nd degree assault, weapon openly with the intent to injures, reckless endangerment and violation of a protective order, police said.
