Police Searching for Victoria Kong
WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- Police are looking for an 83-year-old woman has been missing from Ronald Reagan National Airport since Friday, officials say.
Police have moved the search to Gravelly Point, across from the airport on Monday afternoon. Police are conducting an investigation in the water nearby as well.
Victoria Kong was last seen near the airport, walking north on the Mount Vernon trail toward Gravelly Point at about 6:30 p.m., the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority Police Dept. said in a press release.
WUSA9's Delia Gonçalves reports that American Airlines commented that they "understand that on-board assistance was not requested for deplaning" of Victoria Kong.
Gonçalves also reports that police dogs and crews are searching for Kong between Roosevelt Island and the Pentagon Monday morning.
Kong was last seen wearing a long purple and brown dress with a flower design. She was wearing sandals and was carrying a tan sweater or jacket and a black purse.
Police describe Mrs. Kong as a Hispanic female from Barbados with fair/light skin tone. She is about 5'3" in height, 130 pounds, with brown eyes and short black hair.
