WOODBRIDGE, Va. (WUSA9) -- A call for a burglary later revealed that a neighbor, who appeared to be intoxicated, had walked into a Woodbridge woman's home, say police.
Police say at 10:24 p.m. Thursday night officers went to a home in the 14700 block of Barksdale Street in Woodbridge for the report of a burglary in progress.
A woman reported that she was in her kitchen when she heard the front door open. She then found her neighbor was inside the house, and he appeared intoxicated, say police. The woman and her firend were able to get the neighbor to leave the house.
Officers later located the neighbor, identified as Elmer Stephen Hernandez, and arrested him. He was charged with burglary.
