BALTIMORE (WUSA9) -- A former Department of Juvenile Services employee is charged with stealing more than $94,000, says Attorney General Douglas F. Gansler.
Forty-two-year-old Douglas Allen Fairfax of Hagerstown was charged in Frederick County Circuit Court with one count of felony theft. Fairfax, who was a food administrator at the Victor Cullen Center, is accused of stealing $94,868 from the State of Maryland with his state-issued credit card between January 18,2011 and February 29, 2012.
Fairfax's arraignment date has been set for May 3. If found guilty, Fairfax could receive a maximum sentence of 15 years incarceration and a $15,000 fine.
