Friends and neighbors of Nancy Dunning are honoring her memory Saturday night by leaving candles on the front step of her home, the place where she was found murdered more than a week ago. More than a hundred people walked from the Mount Vernon Community Center to Dunning's Del Ray home. Houses along the way were decorated with luminaries, a neighborhood tradition during the holidays. One participant says it was a small show of support and appreciation for Dunning, a popular real estate agent and advocate for the Del Ray community. Dunning , the wife of Alexandria Sheriff James Dunning, was found shot to death in the family's home last Friday. No suspect or motive in her death has been identified. There's a $70,000 dollar reward for information leading to her killer. Copyright 2003 Associated Press. All rights reserved.
