WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- We have known for a long time that job stress is tough on the body but now, according to Fortune magazine, that job burnout may be worse for your heart than smoking.
Researchers have found in a study that unhappy workers developed heart problems at a 79% higher rate than their less stressed out peers. Other studies have shown that burnout can also lead to obesity, insomnia and anxiety.
The good news is we are actually seeing the job market recovering. If you feel like you're stuck in a deadend job that's making you miserable, you may have some options finally out there.
