DULLES, Va. (WUSA9) -- Teens whose horseplay caused a cell phone case to hit a mall shopper were then assaulted by two males, say Loudoun County Sheriff's Office authorities.
The incident happened at the Dulles Town Center on March 30 shortly before 7 p.m., according authorities. They say one teen threw a cell phone case while playing around with another teen. The case hit a female shopper and the teens ran into a store, say police.
The shopper and two males ran after the teens, say police, then one male hit the 15-year-old and another struck the 14-year-old.
Police say a 21-year-old man from Maryland was charged for hitting the 15-year-old. He was charged with simple assault. according to police, abnd released on a $1,500 bond.
A petition for simple assault is being sought for the second male suspect, who is a 15-year-old male from Maryland, say police.
