STAFFORD, Va. (WUSA9) -- Two suspects have been charged for the murder of a person whose remains were found in Stafford County last week, police said.
Stafford County Sheriff's Office reports the two suspects William Joseph Hughes, age 44, of Stafford and Stuart Lee Sullivan, age 49, of Fredericksburg have been charged. They are charged with 1 Count of First Degree Murder and 1 Count of the Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony for the murder of Jason Plaster who was reported missing at the age of 31 in 2007.
Hughes was arrested as his place of employment, Scooter's Works located at 207 Cambridge Street in Stafford at 7:00 P.M. today. Sullivan was arrested at the Stafford County Sheriff's shortly after 6:00 P.M. today, it said in a press release.
The remains of Plaster were found on the property of 881 Belle Plains Road in Stafford County on Thursday. March 21. The preliminary investigation indicates that the victim died of gun shot wounds, police said.
They are both being held at the Rappahannock Regional Jail under no bond. Additional charges are still pending in this case.
