WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- How much would you pay for a large, fossilized egg about 100 times larger than the average chicken egg? Christie's auction house hopes to find out in April.
Christie's is auctioning a complete sub-fossilized Elephant Bird egg in London as part of their "Travel, Science and Natural History" sale. Reportedly, the Elephant Bird was the largest bird to ever live. Christi's hopes to sell if for between 20,000 and 30,000 pounds (or approximately $30,324) on April 24.
