WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- Officials with the Metropolitan Police Department say that a 17-year-old was attacked by several people on board a Metro bus on Thursday night.
According to police, the teen was assaulted and stabbed with a knife in the 900 block of Barnaby St. SE. One of the attackers reportedly took the teen's jacket before fleeing the scene.
The teen was taken to a hospital for treatment, say police. They say he is in "stable condition."
Police say six people were arrested in connection with the incident after reviewing video from the Metro bus. Authorities believe eight people attacked the victim.
The six were charged with assault with intent to kill, say police. One of the six people were charged with robbery for taking the jacket.
