STERLING, VA (WUSA9) -- A man from Sterling, Va. has won $1 million from the Virginia Lottery.
Saul Tejada, who works as a carpet installer, got his $120 Million Cash Blowout Virginia Lottery ticket from the 7-Eleven at 4209 Annandale Road in Annandale.
"Wow, I couldn't believe it," Tejada told Lottery officials after realizing he had won. "I thought, 'There's no way!'"
Tejada was given the choice of taking the full prize in annual payments over the span of 25 years or taking a one-time cash payment option of $564,000 before taxes. Tejada chose the one-time cash option, officials say.
The 7-Eleven also received a $10,000 bonus from the Virginia Lottery for selling the winning ticket.
Tejada is the 19th million-dollar winner and one top-prize ticket remains unclaimed.
