LOS ANGELES (AP) - The head of the group that campaigned successfully for a law requiring porn actors to cover up with condoms is demanding that Los Angeles County officials begin enforcing the measure.
Michael Weinstein of the AIDS Healthcare Foundation says his group has found proof that at least one adult filmmaker, Immoral Productions, pulled a permit as required under the new law, then simply ignored the condom requirement.
He says AHF officials have filed a complaint with the county Department of Health and are waiting to hear back.
Officials with the county and Immoral Productions did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
Weinstein, noting the law was adopted four months ago, says it's time to begin enforcement.
County officials have said previously they have no timetable for enforcing the law.
