Police Investigate Serious Pedestrian Collision On Old Georgetown Rd.

BETHESDA, Md. (WUSA9) -- Montgomery County Police are investigating an accident involving a pedestrian that took place on Wednesday on Old Georgetown Rd. and Alta Vista Rd. in Bethesda.

Police say an investigation revealed that a silver 2006 Honda Civic was traveling southbound on Old Georgetown Road when the car hit a 59-year-old man who was in the southbound lanes of Old Georgetown Road just north of Alta Vista Road.

Police say the driver remained on the scene and is cooperating with investigators.

Police say the pedestrian was taken to Suburban Hospital where he remains in serious condition and is undergoing treatment.

According to police, the victim was identified as William George Cole, and the driver of the Honda is identified as Remy Jean Pascal Bosselut, 52, of the 6000 block of Chatsworth Lane in Bethesda.

Police say the circumstances surrounding this collision remain under investigation.
