WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- D.C. police say 65-year-old Claire Rice has been arrested in connection to a fatal shooting in 2012.
Rice was taken into custody on Tuesday and charged with first degree murder while armed in the shooting death of 58-year-old Anthony Garland Rice, police said.
Police found the victim unconscious and suffering from apparent gunshot wounds on Dec. 17, 2012. Garland Rice was determined to be dead at the scene in the 3100 block of Fort Lincoln Drive in Northeast, D.C., police said.
According to officials, the victim's remains were then taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for an autopsy.
