ALEXANDRIA, Va. (WUSA9) -- There are new signs of improvement for an Alexandria police officer who was shot in the head last week. Peter Laboy's wife, Suzanne, is blogging about her husband's progress. Thursday she wrote, " Yesterday was a word. Today it's a sentence. He is improving every moment of the day." The Alexandria Police Association and Virtue Feed and Grain are holding a fundraiser this Sunday from 3 to 6 p.m. at 106 South Union Street in Alexandria. A minimum $10 donation will be collected. There will be food as well as a silent auction and raffle.
