WASHINGTON, DC (WUSA) -- A new survey says your credit may prevent you from being hired.
According to liberal-think tank Demos, credit checks are keeping the hardest-hit job seekers out of the workforce.
Results show one in four unemployed people applying for a job are now required to have their credit checked.
And, at least one in 10 are turned away because of the information in their credit report.
