WASHINGTON (WUSA 9) -- The Charles County Sheriff's Office wants to hear from you if you know the whereabouts of 20-year-old Michael Turner Bice of Mechanicsville, Md.
According to authorities, Bice is accused of committing a home burglary on February 22 in Hughesville. He was identified as a suspect from surveillance footage, say sheriff's office authorities. There is an arrest warrant charging Bice with burglary, assault and theft. There are also open warrants for Bice in St. Mary's County, according to authorities.
The morning of Feb. 22, authorities say a man returning home in the 17000 block of Teague's Point Road in Hughesville saw a white male with dark clothing and a back pack leave the house. The man reportedly confronted the stranger, and the stranger hit him and then fled on a bicycle.
The man did not call police at first because he didn't notice anything missing, say authorities, but several days later he noticed some money and coin collections were missing. The man contacted the neighborhood watch program and gave members a picture of the suspect taken from a surveillance camera outside of his house. The neighborhood watch coordinator then contacted a detective, who met with the victim.
Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Michael Bice is asked to call the Charles County Sheriff's Office at 301-932-2222 or Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS. You may also text CHARLES + your tip to CRIMES or visit www.ccso.us to submit a web tip.
