WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- A single mother of three faces eviction from her apartment because she no longer has the income from a food truck that was hit by a D.C. fire truck in September.
Nefisa Sarge was working inside her parked food truck when a D.C. fire truck backed into it, damaging the food truck, and sending her to the hospital.
Her truck was damaged to the point where she can no longer use it, and she says the D.C. government has not yet paid for the damage.
Without the income from the truck, she has fallen behind on her rent and faces eviction.
WUSA9 reached out to the D.C. Fire and EMS late on Monday but the spokesperson was unable to determine what the department is doing about the case, but told us that he will look into the matter.
We will keep you updated with of any developments.
