Phoenix, AZ (Sports Network) - John Jaso hit a three-run triple and Jefry Marte knocked in a pair for Oakland as the Athletics crushed the Angels, 13-5, in Cactus League play.

Six of Oakland's 15 hits went for extra bases, while Dan Straily started on the mound for the A's and gave up two runs on four hits over 2 1/3 innings.

Vernon Wells belted a three-run homer for the Angels, whose starter, Jason Vargas, tossed two hitless innings before the bullpen imploded.
