WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- Hundreds of teens spent part of their weekend learning what to do if they're ever victims of dating violence.

The conference, held in Germantown and sponsored by the Domestic Violence Coordinating Council of Montgomery County, hosted more than 350 teens.

The group says one in three teens in the U.S. is a victim of physical, sexual, emotional or verbal abuse by a dating partner.

Organizers say this conference was so important to teach warning signs because some teens don't know they're victims.
