WOODBRIDGE, Va. (WUSA) -- After being arrested for narcotics in their motel room, two suspects took out their anger out on an officer and a cruiser, say Prince William County police.
Wednesday at approximately 4:40 a.m., police say officers responded to the Inns of Virginia in the 900 block of Annapolis Way in Woodbridge for a disturbance call. According to police, a caller reported someone screaming in a motel room for someone to call 9-1-1.
When officers arrived at the motel, police say officers went to the room and found two people inside. During their conversation, officers reportedly found narcotics inside the room.
Police say they later arrested Wyatt Hessing and Katelyn Kilpatrick. After being seated in the police cruiser, police say Hessing head butted an officer in the chest. They say the officer was not injured. In the backseat of another cruiser, Kilpatrick kicked the window. causing about $1,500 in damage to the window and door frame area, according to police.
Police say Kilpatrick was determined to be the person who had screamed inside the room and that she did not actually need the police. For her actions, Kilpatrick was charged with falsely summoning the police, possession with intent to distribute a schedule I or II narcotic, and destruction of property.
Hessing is charged with assault & battery on LEO and possession with intent to distribute a schedule I or II narcotic.
