FAIRFAX, Va. (WUSA) -- Fairfax City police say a woman hit a man in the face and then when police officers found her on a bus, she kicked them.

Tuesday afternoon, a man told police that a woman had struck him in the face at the Fairfax Regional Library on North Street and then boarded a bus, according to police. Officers stopped the bus and found her, say police, but she reportedly became belligerent and kicked two police officers while being taken into custody.

Then, while being transported to the Adult Detention Center, she reportedly damaged the police cruiser by kicking a window assembly, say police.

Police say Jeanne Pearson was charged with two counts of assault on a police officer, destruction of property and drunk in public and ordered held without bond.
