WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- Can food fight Alzheimer's disease? There are studies that show we can eat our way to a healthier mind with certain foods.
Dr. Neal Bernard, author of "Power Foods for the Brain," joined us on our show to talk about the foods we should eat to boost our brain power. He brought pancakes with blueberries (but the ingredients were very different from what we're used to), veggies, fruits and whole grains. Check out the foods in the video above.
We also talked to Dr. Bernard about two cereal makers testing a dairy-based breakfast shake that has whole grains and the nutrition of a bowl of cereal and milk as well as a new study that contradicts his findings and other previous research.
