STAFFORD, Va. (WUSA) -- Stafford County authorities still don't know who is responsible for the death of Katherine Bryant, whose remains were found on August 16, 2012 in the wooded area near the northbound 140 ramp exit of I-95. Stafford County Sheriff's Office authorities say detectives need your help to solve this case, which is being investigated as a homicide.
Thirty-three-year-old Bryant was last seen in the Washington, D.C. area in the summer of 2006. She was reported missing by family members, say authorities.
According the the sheriff's office in a release on Thursday, "Bryant was a known associate of one the most notorious, violent drug organizations in the Washington, D.C. area history, referred to as Murder Incorporated. Murder Inc. was responsible for numerous murders as well as the sale of heroin, cocaine and marijuana."
A statement from Sheriff Charles Jett in the same release read, "This young lady is a daughter and a sister and her family deserves to know who is responsible for her death...The Stafford County Sheriff's Office is committed to finding the person or persons responsible for this terrible crime."
