GREAT MILLS, Md. (WUSA) -- St. Mary's County Bureau Of Criminal Investigations officials say early Tuesday morning they responded to a home in Great Mills for the report of a suspicious person and encounter a man who was naked. That man later told them he was visiting a woman at the home when a male came in and assaulted him, say authorities. The male then reportedly fled from the home.
According authorities, they then found a woman lying in the back yard of the home at 3:30 a.m. She was pronounced dead.
A person of interest is in custody, say BCI officials, but no charges have been filed yet.
The woman is not being identified at this time. Her body will be taken to the medical examiner's office in Baltimore for an autopsy.
