WASHINGTON (WUSA) --  In honor of Black History Month, we're talking about dance, its roots in African American culture and how it helped shape the country.

Executive director of Metropolitan Fine Arts, Melissa Dobbs, talked about tap dance's influence, the fall and rise of its popularity and the Dance Your Heart Out campaign benefiting National Heart Month.
