FAIRFAX, Va. (WUSA) -- A Va. man was indicted on Wednesday by a federal grand jury for several instances of child sexual exploitation.
Police say Douglas Lee Payne, Jr. (31) has been charged with one count of production of child pornography, one count of possession of child pornography, one count of attempted enticement of a minor and a final count of attempted travel to engage in illicit sexual conduct.
According to court documents, police investigations revealed that Payne had been texting and participating in Skype chats with a minor in Indiana in December 2011.
Police say the investigation also revealed that Payne had requested nude photos from the minor, and that Payne was in possession of several child pornography photos including a nude photo of the minor.
Officials also report that the texts and Skype chats revealed Payne's plans to visit his cousin and the minor in Indiana.
The investigation is ongoing, and a trial date hasn't been set yet.
