WASHINGTON (WUSA) -- Metro's Silver Line is scheduled to open at the end of 2013, and crews have started testing a portion of the third rail.
The plan is to test through March using a "clearance car."
After last week's Green Line third rail debacle in Southeast during the evening rush hour, Metro does not want a repeat of that situation.
