NEW ORLEANS (WUSA) -- The Ravens beat the 49ers 34-31 in Super Bowl 47.

The Ravens defense took the field first and held San Francisco to a three and out.  Quarterback Joe Flacco took the ball right down the field and connected with Anquan Bolding for a touchdown pass from 13 yards out.

The 49ers responded with a drive of their own and cut the lead to 7-3 on a 36 yard field goal from David Akers.

Flacco then struck again with a Touchdown pass to Dennis Pitta from 1 yard out to make the score 14-3.

The Ravens then extended the lead to 21-3 on a 56 yard bomb from Flacco to Jacoby Jones.

Akers hit another Field Goal just before half to make the score 21-6.

Jacoby Jones kicked off the second half with a 109 yard kick return for a touchdown, making the score 28-6.

Then the power went out.  Literally.

The game was delayed for 35 minutes because lights went out at the Superdome.

When play resumed, the 49ers cut the lead to 28-20 on a Touchdown pass from Colin Kaepernick to Michael Crabtree and a 6 yard touchdown run from Frank Gore.

David Akers added a Field Goal to make the score 28-23.

The Ravens finally scored again in the fourth quarter when Justin Tucker converted on a 19 yard Field Goal.

The Ravens held on to win the game after taking a safety at the end of the game.
