BROOKEVILLE, Md. (WUSA) -- A man was rescued from his car after it became stuck in high water early Thursday morning.
Assistant Chief Scott Graham, spokesman for the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service, says the man called for help from his car after his engine stalled in high water. His vehicle became stuck on a one lane bridge as water began to rise on Gold Mine Road at Chandlee Mill Road.
Officials say they brought the man out by boat a short time after rescuers arrived on scene.
According to officials, water levels in the area are still rising due to runoff, even though most of the rain has passed.
Montgomery County Fire and Rescue have handled approximately five water rescues last night and early this morning.
