ARLINGTON, Va. (WUSA) - Police cited a man on Monday after trying to bring 13 kubatons through a Reagan National Airport checkpoint.
The man, who was traveling to JFK Airport, was able to rebook his flight to New York after the kubatons were in police possession.
The Transportation Security Administration would like to remind citizens that weapons aren't allowed in carry-on baggage. The 20-inch expandable kubatons are prohibited from carry-on baggage because they are considered weapons. Travelers can be fined up to $3,000 if they are caught with prohibited items at the airport.
If you are unsure what's allowed in your carry-on, you can review the prohibited items list on the TSA website or download the mobile app for free at www.tsa.gov.
