FORT WASHINGTON, Md. (WUSA) - A fourth school student has been murdered this school year in Prince George's County.
This time the victim was 16-year old Marcus Jones. He was shot to death last weekend.
Prince George's County Police will hold a community meeting to discuss the murder of 16-year-old Marcus Antonio Jones at 7 p.m. at Friendly High School in Fort Washington, Md.
Police say they were called to the 7700 block of Webster Lane in Fort Washington, Md., just after midnight on Saturday to find 16-year-old Marcus Antonio Jones outside suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
Jones, a sophomore at Friendly High School, was taken to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead, officials say.
An early police investigation revealed that Jones was shot while walking to his car after leaving a home on Webster lane.
According to police, the shooter is unknown but they are working to identify a suspect and motive in this case.
