ARLINGTON, Va. (WUSA) -- The man wanted for a fatal pedestrian accident on Christmas Eve. was arrested on Wednesday, the Arlington County Police Department said.
Farhan Mohammad Khan, a 21-year-old of Alexandria, Va., was taken into custody on involuntary manslaughter and is being held without bond, police said.
According to police, on Dec. 24 at about 4:30 p.m. Khan ran a red light and struck a vehicle in the intersection of N. Randolph Street. The impact caused the vehicle to spin out of control and hit 30-year-old Shabnam Motahhar-Tehrani, of Nokesville, Va., as she was standing on the sidewalk.
Tehrani was pronounced dead at Inova Fairfax Hospital, police said.
