ARLINGTON, Va. (WUSA) -- A woman returning to her home in Arlington on Saturday morning was attacked by a man in the 1800 block of N. Quinn Street, say police.
Police say the woman was coming home at 3:17 a.m. on Saturday when she noticed two men behind her. One man stayed outside the complex. The other man followed her into her apartment complex and grabbed her from behind. She struggled to break free and scream, but he held onto her, putting his hand over her mouth.
She was later able to break free. The man fled on foot.
Police say some cash belonging to the victim seemed to be missing, but it is unclear if the man took the money. The subject that assaulted the woman is described as heavy set and approximately 5'5" tall. He was wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt and pants.
